The Male Carers Support Worker project is for male carers in central Aberdeenshire who care, or help care for, a child or young adult who is ill or has disabilities.
- To facilitate and co-ordinate a carers group for male parents of children with special needs
- To provide information and advice
- To provide emotional support to male carers
The Male Carers Support Worker project was set up in 2002 by Gordon Rural Action. The project provides male carers with:
- advice and information
- Carers Group
- one to one support
Other services will depend on the carers, what they want and what they need.
Male carers can make direct contact to the Male Carers Support Worker
The Gordon Rural Action office in Huntly is accessible to wheelchair users without assistance.
