Victim Support Aberdeen offers support to any person who has been affected by crime. Specialist support is offered to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and anyone who has lost a friend or relative through murder. Victim Support Scotland was established in 1985.
- To offer practical and emotional support to all victims of crime whether or not the crime has been reported to the police

- Advocacy on behalf of a victim and witness
- Help with criminal injuries compensation authority applications
- Emotional support
Funded by the Scottish Executive. Local services are available in each local authority area and bid for funds from Victim Support Scotland.
People can contact the service directly, or can be referred by people such as the police, health professionals or social work
