Instant Neighbour Charity Aberdeen (previously Instant Neighbour Trust) is a local organisation which helps older people, people with disabilities, young people with no family support, single parents, the homeless, women fleeing domestic violence and families on a low income.
To provide an immediate response to the practical needs of some of the most disadvantaged citizens in the community.

Acting as welfare advocates

Food and children's clothing service - the charity regularly receives and distributes donations of basic foodstuffs and good quality clothing

Information, advice and support on all issues relating to poverty

Provision of emergency food parcels

Safe and Sound Project which is a drop in centre for families on low incomes which offers advice and practical support in the form of baby and safety equipment and clothes

Storage - stores furniture and household effects for people who are between tenancies or have been evicted

The Giving Tree - Christmas trees are erected in various locations throughout the city and are bedecked with cards, which allow people to buy a new gift for a child from a needy family

Collection of goods and house removals - locating furniture, domestic appliances, recycled furniture and equipment being offered in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray for uplifting, delivering and placing them in the homes of needy people. Removals are also carried out for people who can not afford to pay commercial removers
Instant Neighbour Charity Aberdeen is partly self financing and partly funded by Aberdeen City Council.
Referrals are made by statutory bodies such as social work, housing, NHS Grampian or by clients themselves
