Meetings are held monthly in Inverurie - members are notified in advance. Carers wishing to be added to the mailing list should contact the office.
The Inverurie Branch of the Gordon Carers Support Group was formed in 1991. Members of the branch are carers who live in Inverurie, Westhill and surrounding areas.
- To bring carers together informally to share information and discuss issues of mutual concern and where appropriate make representation on a carer's behalf
- To keep carers up to date with changes in the legislation, government policies concerning care in the community and any local changes in service delivery that may be proposed
- To involve carers in identifying gaps in service provision and in the consultation process when planning the introduction of new services, making changes to existing services or proposing changes which will affect the lives of carers
The Branch welcomes ideas from carers on topics for discussion, and organises a variety of activities such as:

Membership of this group is open to any carer or anyone with an interest in caring, residing within these areas. Group meetings are designed to take the form of respite for the carer and aim to be light-hearted whenever appropriate.
