Aberdeenshire Disability Sport works in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council to compile a directory of sporting opportunities for people with a disability in Aberdeenshire. The Aberdeenshire Sports Directory, including Disability Sport, is available from the above address. A Disability Sport Programme of sporting events is available for both children and adults with disabilities.
Aberdeenshire Disability Sport is a branch of the national governing body Scottish Disability Sport.
Details of some of the clubs are listed below. Some groups are based in Aberdeen but are available to people from both Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Aberdeen Physically Disabled Swimming Club
Specifically for people with physical disabilities.
Meets: Every Tuesday at Northern College, Hilton Place, Aberdeen from 6.30pm-8.00pm
Pool hoist available. Open to all ages and abilities.
Club sessions are run by Scottish Amateur Swimming Association qualified coaches.

Doric Dolphins Friday Club
Swimming club open to people with a learning disability who are at an improved or advanced level. Opportunities for competitive swimming locally, nationally and internationally. The club has in the past produced swimmers at Paralympic level. All coaches are qualified under the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association.

Riding for the Disabled - Grampian
The Riding for the Disabled Association is a national organisation with charitable status incorporating Carriage Driving for the Disabled. Riding for the Disabled Association, Grampian and Highlands caters for people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, visual or / and hearing impairments, including children and young people.
- Buchan
The Buchan Group Riding for the Disabled operates from Ladymire, Ellon on Tuesdays and Fourwinds, Gowanhill and Rathen, Fraserburgh on Thursdays. All school term only.

Special Olympics Grampian Area
Set up in 1984 specifically for people with learning disabilities. Local activities are swimming, basketball, equestrian, skiing, bowling (indoor, lawn, 10 pin), cycling, gymnatics, table tennis, football and tennis.

Stonehaven Indoor Bowling Club
- People with visual impairment play during the summer (Apr-Sep) every Wednesday 10.00am-12.00 midday
- People with disabilities from Mill of Forest have a session every Friday 10.00am-12.00 midday
The club has wheelchair access for spectators but there is no access for wheelchairs onto the rink. There is a toilet for people with disabilities.
