Working with our funders
Grampian CareData is funded by Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council and NHS Grampian and works very closely with all three funding bodies. Before the advent of the Internet, Grampian CareData published information on behalf of its funders via public access PCs throughout the region. Now each has their own rapidly-growing website and with them growing levels of duplication of information - and sometimes discrepancies.
This new version of Grampian CareData will address the problem of duplication and discrepancy by signposting to our funders' information wherever possible rather than holding a separate copy. Funders will in turn be able to search the Grampian CareData database from within their own web sites.
Working with other stakeholders
The policy of linking to to information held elsewhere will be extended to other information providers where they meet our quality standards. We also communicate with other health and social care information providers in the region to minimise duplication and build links between our work and our web sites. These include:
