Services

The Meals Service is part of an overall strategy to help older or housebound people continue to live in their own homes in the community. It is intended to assist people who find it difficult or impossible to prepare meals at home. The service provides people in need with a well balanced meal, on average twice a week.

Those who qualify for meals include people of all ages who because of illness, physical disability, learning disability, sensory impairment or mental health problems require assistance in preparing a meal, or would put themselves at risk in doing so.

Aberdeenshire Council has a contract with Appetito who provide frozen meals fortnightly. A freezer and microwave can be provided if required.
