Barnardo's 16+ Aberdeenshire - Throughcare and Aftercare Service
16+ Aberdeenshire is a Barnardo's (Scotland) Project which has been operating since 1995 and works in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council working closely with various departments such as social work, housing and criminal justice.
The service aims to support vulnerable young people who are gaining independence while living in the community. It is provided on a voluntary basis to young people aged 16 to 21 years who were previously looked after by the local authority.

Aberdeen and North East Blood Transfusion Service
The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service needs a thousand donors every day to meet the demand for blood in hospitals. The Aberdeen and North East Blood Transfusion Service is one of five Donor Centres in Scotland. The service also runs a Mobile Unit which travels throughout the Grampian area. Blood donor sessions are open to people aged between 17 and 60 for first time donors and between 17 and 66 for regular donors.

Grampian Transport Museum has a considerable collection of all forms of road transport from horse drawn vehicles to modern performance cars, and visitors are allowed to climb aboard some of the exhibits.
