Have Your Say

Aberdeen Joint Future Carers Task Group invite carers to informally

"Have Your Say"
Were you aware that Aberdeen City Council plans to change the way services are provided with the aim of making services more effective with less money? There are 31 recommendations in their report 'A Strategy for Transforming Adult Services - Health and Care for 2007 - 2010' which is expected to impact hugely on both carers and the person they care for. This event is your chance to influence how these changes will be implemented. Amongst the recommendations are:

  • Remove the lower and middle eligibility criteria for Community Care Services to target those in greatest need
  • Reduce the number of day care places by providing alternative day services
  • Introduce charges for Community Care Alarms
  • New investment in alternative approaches to providing care
